now i have become lazy and depressed and failed my A levels (which i was doing amazingly well at before i got the shot) nd in addition have had this horrible prolonged bleeding.. The biggest problem with Depo is that too many woman don't understand how their bodies work!! What many woman also don't know is that there are 2 different injections - the one you get every 3 months and then you get a much milder one which you get every 2 months and which they prefer giving to woman who haven't had children yet. I swear by depo and I know I can safely leave it for a few months now and then (to give my body a break) without falling pregnant but at 48 I can still fall pregnant without a problem

After I had my daughter in 2010 I got back on the depo, and I got off of it either in September or October of 2013 and my periods came back really fast, and I am shocked that it did. I got off of my depo shot during the month of February and then had my period again in November, so it took me 9 months until I had my period again and that was the year of 2008
