If you can open up the computer and see the short (or anything on the motherboard that shouldn't be there), and it is an easy fix, that would be my only solution at this point... If you need to use it, more than likely the router is going bad, but it keeps it going for awhile longer without you having to remember to reset it each day

I only ask because, as a reminder, I found out the hard way that while I was able to effect a bridge, the connection sharing ability is locked out by our administrater. while you may be able to connect to people and play with them, they may have a problem connecting to you, especially if this is a professional hotel with a decent security system
