I did a few benchmarks just to confirm what my thumbs already knew: the Galaxy S II HD LTE is still darn fast, and is unlikely to let you down when it comes to sheer speed. Why spend the money to get this when you could save it and maybe pay more to get exclusive rights on the S3 for a bit? Eluder Nice phone, but way too late to the game

Some people claim that they've had luck getting police to issue warrants to track devices through the carrier (again, for 3g models)...but I dare you to find a cop that understands what you're talking about when you ask for this, cares that your property was stolen, is willing to do the mountain of paperwork necessary to even ask for this, and is in a state that would even allow this (since it's not completely legal in many of them). I think the process is pretty straight forward: Step 1) Reboot the device into Download Mode Step 2) Use ODIN 3.x (on a WIndows machine) to flash ClockworkMod Step 3) Reboot into Recovery (ClockworkMod) Step 4a) Make a backup, just in case anything goes wrong with the new ROM...trust me, if anything goes wrong, it's really easy to restore the old image and try again, especially if your new ROM was corrupted (like my very first one was)
