When I tried running my old asp pages I got "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error page, I tried all sort of things, changing default website properties, my asp.net website properties etc. After a lot of hit and trial I got this error when I used Ctrl + F5 to reload the page - So it seems that IIS was serving the cached page(don't know why) and as I had changed my IIS website's Local Path, include files path became wrong

Try the URL on the computer that is working by copying the URL that is in the address bar of the web browser on the computer that is working then email or IM it to your collegue and have them click on the URL or paste it into their web browser and see if they can connect. I know you already ran a scan so please run the netstat -a command on a computer that does not have the issue and let me know if port 2002 is in the command line output on that computer as well

UPDATE: If you're getting an IE error page then some kind of HTTP thing must be going on, so maybe try using Fiddler to see exactly what the browser is doing in terms of trying to fetch pages

A typing error would probably cause there to be no DNS listing (see the next issue), but may be easier to spot if you check the domain name for possible typing errors, e.g. Transport problems Once Internet Explorer has determined the address of the web server, it needs to transport, across the Internet, a request to the server

Everything is working smoothly in Chrome but IE gives me a generic message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" As soon as I enable anonymous authentication in IIS, I can view the page properly in IE (but without proper authentication). The host-header I'm using to access the website is not the same as the actual name of the webserver machine, if that makes any difference, but the host-header has been mapped to 127.0.0.1 in the hosts file

Yeah right!!! We have the new .net version of the site in a virtual directory off the main site running on what I think is IIS 5, but it could be 6, (how do I check the version of IIS) but I don't think that the version of IIS is the problem here
IIS issue? Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

This is what I have done for now: Checked that Business Objects app is installed Ensured that all relevant services are running Opened Central Configuration Manager and confirmed that Central Management Server is associated to port number 6400 Ran cmd command "netstat -a"to list all ports in use on server - port 6400 not listed .... Things are now working provided I'm navigating to the BusObj pages from the server itself - if from a workstation on the domain then I still get a 404 (?) error
